Darcy Alexander
Studio owner
Darcy has danced for almost 20 years, mainly training in ballet, tap and modern. She completed 10 RAD ballet exams, 5 ISTD modern exams, 5 ISDT tap exams and went on to get her level 3 diploma in dance at Shockout Performing Arts college in Manchester.
She works with many children with additional needs such as autism and ADHD and has always had excellent reviews from parents on how she adapts her classes to give extra help to those that need it.
Darcy has worked with children for a very long time, from being a personal aid to a SEN child in reception when she was in year 6 to helping younger classes at her dance school from being 11.
she has performed in things like Christmas pantomimes, danced at Disneyland Paris in 2019, participated in many auditions for TV shows like "the next step" and had an agent at the age of 11.
Teaching was always what she wanted to do, since the age of 5 she would say she wanted to be like Miss Emma (her dance teacher) and she did just that.
Having so many years of teaching opportunities and dance experiences she put together a range of classes in many styles, for all ages, that are loved by all her current students and parents. She teaches classes in ballet, tap, lyrical, street, private singing/dancing classes, competition preparation team and competition team. Darcy held Auditions for her new competition team in April 2025 and went on to compete in October, now competing three times a year. She, however, wanted to let all students have the opportunity, so created a class for everyone, learning harder skills and techniques they may need for their future in the competition team.
Darcy makes sure all her classes push the students to learn harder moves and feels it important to build confidence, build a lifelong love for dance, a happy, welcoming dance family and fun classes for all students to enjoy!
